I'm now a commuter!

So I haven't posted in a while and that's manly due to my new internship at WhyNot! In London of course. It's been a great 2 weeks, I've really enjoyed it all so far. It's right up my street. Basically working with venues around the UK on the Heineken Our Shout programme. I'm on the digital team so that ranges from creating websites, monitoring/creating content, creating competitions, chatting with clients and of course going out with the team (most important part).
As I have said its been such a great experience so far, but there is one tiny detail that hasn't exactly been like spa treatment - and that's the commute. Seeing as I am from Kent, most people would just assume that I go by train (high speed preferably) but I go by coach, yes you heard correctly I go by coach. The reason behind this was simple, at first. I have heard so many good reviews about the coach and seeing as it is a lot cheaper and the bus stops so close to my house and work (meaning no tube) it seemed the right choice. So I thought.
It has been a bit of a nightmare. I have been late probably 80% of the time so far. It is so annoying because I hate being late but it's just down the traffic there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. It's become immensity stressful and I have progressively got earlier and earlier coaches to try avoid being late. It's very tiring.
Life of a commuter!

Much love

It's a must have..

As you probably know I have had real trouble/stress recently, trying to find a job or the perfect company who sees some potential in me. Finally I have been offered a Social & Digital Internship at a marketing company called WhyNot in London. It's paid as well so I'm really happy. It is pretty much suited perfectly to me. It is in the industry that I want to work in and will give me the opportunity to work with a great team, plus hopefully impress them and maybe land a full-time job at the end of it. For now I am just really thankful that a great company like WhyNot see a bit of potential in me.

I start on the 1st of October (which is tomorrow) so obviously a shopping trip was needed. Even though I have never had a full on proper job before but through previous experiences and general knowledge of how these offices work. I used this to help me get some new clothes, that would suit this environment. Here is a few items I bought shopping and some other pieces of clothing that I feel are essential to have in your wardrobe ready for the Autumn/Winter season at work. As far as I know and have seen in the office,it is very much smart/casual wear which suits me down to the ground, as I'm more comfortable in this style of clothing than really smart suit attire.

Starting from the shoes, I think it is pretty much common knowledge to have some black flat shoes for work. They go with everything and can just make an uber casual outfit that little bit more sophisticated. Seeing as my feet really just don't like shoes I have trouble getting shoes that are completely comfortable. When I was out shopping I bought some black suede flats with a gold chain type thing on the front. I got these from Primark for £12 and they were wide fit which is perfect for me because my feet are a little fat and I'm hoping they will fit me better. I recently just bought a pair of slip on leather look plimsolls from New Look. I'm very much a bit of a toy boy and love a good pair of trainers. I really like these style of plimsolls. I would wear them with either jeans, leggings or even a dress. They are really comfortable and I would 100% recommend them to everyone.

As I've already mentioned jeans and leggings are pretty much a must have for any wardrobe. For a work wardrobe they are still very much essential. I have huge beef with jeans. I don't think I have been able to find the perfect pair of jeans. I decided to try on a pair of light blue jeggings from Dorothy Perkins and thank the lord they fitted perfectly. I think for a work wardrobe it is also essential to have some black trousers just in case you need to look really smart. Me personally I am not a fan of black trousers, I find them really uncomfortable so this led me to the decision to buy a pair of peg leg style black trousers. They are really smart and also really comfortable, it's a must have. While we are on the subject of being smart, I am a huge fan of blazers. Therefore the need to have a beaut black blazer is also a must. This item will automatically smarten up a casual outfit and overall just make you look like a proper commuter on the train into London. I have a trusty blazer I bought last year from Next. It has a silk lining and is thick enough to keep you warm on a Autumn day. You also can't beat a lush pair of new glasses (if you wear them of course), I have been told it makes me look smarter so this was a must. Lastly having a killer handbag should just be general knowledge. You may have seen in a earlier post I was looking for the perfect handbag and I finally found one. The one I decided on was a grey pocket trim colour block tote bag from River Island (£40). It's a banging bag and is perfect to finish of my work look. I highly recommend getting a nice handbag if you are just starting a new job.

To finish off, I am a huge fan of shirts/blouse lover. You can't beat a shirt buttoned to the top with a cosy jumper over the top. This is pretty much what I am known for wearing. As my friends would say that's such a Hayley thing. Seeing as this is a serious obsession of mine I can't normally go shopping without buying a new shirt so my most recent shopping experience was no different. I ended up buying a patterned blouse from Primark (on the right). It's a combination of green, blue and grey colours which is the main reason why this
item stood out to me. The picture below combines this new buy with just SOME of my other blouses/shirts just were in my wardrobe.

Good luck to anyone starting a new job soon, getting a new work wardrobe is a must!!

#NextLFWModel Competition

So I love this time of year. It's London Fashion Week!

To celebrate this fashion lovers heaven Next have created a LFW inspired competition. All you need to do is pick your favourite model and pick an outfit from Next to dress them in. Then just simply post it to the Next Blogger Network and tweet @nextofficial with the hashtag #NextLFWmodel. Its that simply. Seeing as the prize is a night's stay in London for two PLUS £200 worth of clothing from Next, this is so worth it.

So here is my entry. My favourite model is Suki Waterhouse. Not only has she dated the gorgeous Bradley Cooper she is absolutely stunning and for only 22 she is an amazing model. I love her style, she always looks so feminine but with a quirky edge and I absolutely love it. I wish I looked like her.

The outfit I have chosen is this gorgeous Tartan Tunic Dress teamed with a pair of Black Suede Ankle Boots. Tartan/Check is my all time favourite print, I think it can be dressed up or down and put with so many different accessories. For this particular outfit I think this would be great for a smart/casual look but also put with flat shoes for a fabulous casual look. Seeing as autumn is rapidly approaching I feel that everyone should have a Biker Jacket for this season, so I have put one with this outfit and I think it goes really well. To finish this outfit off I have chosen an adorable Fedora Hat (I already own this and love it), Structured Wing Tote Handbag with a fab snake skin print and lastly a statement necklace to top it off. I'm sure Suki would 100% rock this look.

What I want to do before I die..

Recently, I've been thinking a lot about how selfish I used to be and seeing other peoples lives worse than mine, has really been a massive push towards being more positive. I have seen a few other blogs/people recently who are terminally ill, homeless or just generally worse of than me, and they all seem to be happy to just be alive and breathing. I am a very grateful and humble person but I feel I need to show this more often. Life is way to short to be negative and hating on pathetic issues. So in that case I have decided to make a list of everything I want to do before I die (hopefully will be a while). While I'm still really young I feel I should be making this know and I have my whole life to tick these off my list. Basically, I thought I would share them with you all and try to persuade others to do the same.

There is no number of how many things I want to do, and this list will most probably grow constantly but this is just a start. I'm going to try my hardest to tick every single thing of this list even if some of them are a little silly and may be seen as boring to some people. But Lets go for it!

 1. Go Surfing in Australia (While I'm there, I might as well do a bit of traveling)

2. Go to New York - I need to feel like I'm Rachel from Friends.

3. Move to my beloved Cornwall.

4. Move out of my parents house. {I'm not some kind of creep who's scrounging of their parents..I'm only 21, there's still time}.

5. {Time for a soppy one} Get married and have the most adorable ginger family.

6. See the Northern lights.

10. Run the London Marathon.
